Parties Involved:

Caterer: Gourmet Events Catering

Client: The Johnson Wedding

Event Details:

The event will take place at: Sunflower Garden Venue, 123 Celebration Lane, Springfield, IL 62704, on June 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Services and Menu:

The caterer agrees to provide a full-service wedding menu, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages, tailored to client specifications as outlined in the attached menu proposal.

Payment Terms:

The total fee for services is $10,000, with a deposit of $2,500 due upon signing this contract. The remaining balance shall be paid no later than 7 days before the event date.

Caterer Responsibilities:

The caterer shall prepare and serve the agreed menu, provide staffing, and ensure all food safety standards are met. The client shall provide appropriate space and facilities for food service.

Cancellation and Refunds:

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund minus a $500 administrative fee. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable, except for extraordinary circumstances.

Governing Law:

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved within the jurisdiction of the Springfield courts.

Additional Provisions:

  • Any special dietary requirements must be communicated at least 14 days prior to the event.
  • Changes to the menu or services must be agreed upon in writing at least 10 days prior to the event.
  • The caterer is not responsible for delays caused by force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.
